The server and hostess were nice, I enjoyed the hamburger steak and squash casserole. The corn bread was nice, but to me just average. I liked the buttermilk pie. I only gave a four because after the food was dropped off it was hard to get the waitress back. We needed some butter, a different waitress got us some.
This was a very quiet restaurant with beautiful décor. The food was excellent—especially the Brussels sprouts and buttermilk pie. Our waitress was great. She was very efficient and personable. The price was reasonable for a hearty Southern meal.
The all raved about Buttermilk pie was great! It definitely is for someone with a sweet tooth though. But whoever makes these pies has it down to a science. They are light, creamy, and the crust is very flaky. This pie that is not always easy to nail, and they nail it! The other food looks great and smells good as it passes. And everyone looked glad to be there. This beloved place will be a "must stop by" in this small town!
Great food and lunch specials. I had the roast beef that was so tender and amazing. Servers do a great job and the atmosphere in the small town of Greensboro is just great. Definitely recommend stopping in and don't forget to order dessert.
We discovered that the Yesterday Cafe is now open for dinners on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Tonight, the Shrimp and Grits were incredible...great seasoning...loads of flavor, and perfectly cooked. Best I have had. My wife had crab cakes which were exceptional. We wrapped up with the world famous Buttermilk pie and it didn't disappoint. Great staff, great food, and great company made for a perfect end to the week.
About once a month a bunch of us fly our planes from our home airport near N. Augusta, SC to an airport 1-2 hours away and have lunch at a local restaurant. Greene County Airport, Greensboro. GA was our destination this trip. The food, service, and atmosphere was great. We will fly back again.
